The housing is weather sealed to prevent dirt and moisture from harming the electronics found inside. Raxiom designed their LED Reverse Light to be a direct replacement for your Mustang's original factory reverse light housing. It should be noted that you will be required to splice into your Mustang's light harness using the supplied scotch lock connectors. Installation should take no longer than an hour to complete.
